Film distribution company set up home at Bond's Mill

After 15 years based at Pinewood Studios, the co-founder of Lift-Off Global Network Ltd has set up a new office at Bond's Mill, Stonehouse, owned by developer Robert Hitchins.

Director James Bradley runs film distribution, production, and global film festivals out of Pinewood with his business partner Ben Pohlman.

Their creation, Lift-Off, helped with the distribution for Boiling Point via The Marche Du Film at The Cannes Film Festival in 2018 which launched the career of Philip Barantini who then went on to make Adolescence with Stephen Graham, Plan B and Netflix.

Having moved with his family to Stroud after the pandemic, James wanted an office closer to home.

"The Gallery at Bond's Mill is a proper little studio and I love it," he said. "I still travel to Pinewood but not so often."

The new office will also house the Civitas Universe, a board game and computer game series which began as James' hobby and took off during the pandemic. It achieved a Top 10 position on indie influencer lists for the best games of 2024.

"We are proud of our sustained success and are excited for our next chapter at Bond's Mill Estate," said James.

Robert Hitchins' Asset and Administration Manager at Bond's Mill, Helen Hawke, said. "We are delighted to welcome James to the unique space of The Gallery. When refurbishing this unit we kept the old industrial look, including some exposed red brick Victorian walls. The space works well as an office."
